Flashback to 2016 and a special DAFT DIMENSION

As you know, my Daft Dimension strip in Doctor Who Magazine is usually a single tier mini-strip but back in 2016 I was commissioned to do a full pager for the celebratory 500th issue.

Naturally, more space (and time) meant I could make it dafter than ever! I decided to make up a fictitious history of life before Doctor Who Magazine. Or maybe it's true? Who knows? Anyway, I thought that after six years I'd share it in full on this blog so here you go. I really enjoyed exaggerating the daft 1970s fashions we wore back then, and spoofing the titles of old comics. As always, click / tap on the image to see it larger and zoom in.

This issue had an increased print run and copies are still available to buy directly from Panini. Follow this link:

nice strip... the 2016 does kinda date when it came out ^_^;

On a completely unrelated note.. Just doing some of my normal browsing and while i couldn't find one for sale.. White Drawf Magazine did a Derek the Troll Miniature.. It was a one-off sculpt, though moulded in metal.. I know you gave permission but it's pretty nice ^_^

My sculpting skills are pretty rubbish (I've sculpted a AFC Blinky from Bucky O'Hare which is... passable) but.. yeah.. a few miniatures of the lewniverse would be fun... I'm trying a bit of practice (I'm never gonna be great cause I'm just.. not interested enough nor got the hand control really) but.. yeah.. might try to put together a couple of character sheets and give it a try ^_^; (Doubt you are interested but i know a couple of good sculpters who for a decent price, you could commission and get a small production run of figures.. but like i said, doubt you have the money or that much interest for such)

I don't think there'd be much interest. I was encouraged to do merchandise on Redbubble and that was a disaster. Same with prints. "You should do prints of The Seven Ages of Fan". I did, and could barely sell any. No more merch from me. I'll stick to comics.

sadly probebly true.. Oh i mistyped too cause of course White Drawf didn't do the miniature.. it was a private person but oh well.. that's the problem when I forget to double check things ^_^

it can be annoying when people 'request' something but when things happen, they make excuses for not wanting it anymore..
