I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels that the world changed on this day 20 years ago. An act of cowardice that killed many and stunned the world. Society seemed to change after that, as though a permanent black cloud was looming over us all that remains to this day. An angrier, more suspicious world.
I suppose this is true of any devastating event, whether it be war or plague, but the relatively carefree days of the late 20th Century now feel like they belong to another lifetime so long ago. We keep going of course, and there are good times too, but it's been different for the past 20 years, or at least that's how it feels to me.
As ever, wishing us all peace of mind and brighter tomorrows.
