It's Jab 2 - The Sequel! I had my second vaccine today so hopefully that's another step forward. Get your vaccines when you can, folks! It's the only way we'll get through this situation.
Had my first one on Thursday. Took me three days to get it booked last week. Had a dull ache in my arm for a couple of days but I'm fine now. It's worth the inconvenience to allow us to get back to something like normal in a few months. Mine was the Pfizer jab - they don't give the Astra-Zeneca one you had to under 40s and I'm in my 30s.
I've been feeling groggy all day but nowhere near as bad as the first dose affected me. I hope the rollout continues quickly. I've turned down a convention in the summer because most of the attendees would be in their teens to early 30s and won't have had the full dose yet. There's no guarantee that vaccinated people can't transmit the virus so I'd hate to think I'd given it to attendees. I really think comic cons should be put on hold until very late in the year or until next year. This is such a serious situation that any thought of returning to normal in June is just a fantasy in my opinion.
You're right, I'm 37, and my second dose is in August. People in their 20s, you're looking at October, most likely. It's more realistic to aim for Christmas, not next month.
hey don't give the Astra-Zeneca to people under 40? oh damn.. I was pretty sure I was under 40.. What about people that had them earlier then the age bracket due to underlaying health issues? Oh well, things keep happening to try and make me feel old anyway (like something from the 90s being called 'Vintage'.. I mean, technically true.. if something was made today, it would be vintage May 2021, but still...
I get my second this week and had no problems with it that I noticed.
I sincerely hope you're still around in 2 years to make the jab worthwhile. You have had SM-102 injected into your body twice. You should research that stuff, it's not intended for use on humans and is nothing good. Taking that risk for a virus with a mortality rate of less than half of one percent? I cannot understand the mentality of anyone willing to be a guinea pig for what is essentially an 'unapproved' experimental gene therapy. Good luck!
That's good to hear, SID! Things are slowly moving forward. I met up with some friends last night that I hadn't seen for months so we're getting there!

Yep, and convention season will be over by then, so waiting until 2022 sounds more sensible to me.

What makes you think I'm human? Calm down, Earthman, and get your jab.
Hi, Lew. Me & my partner had our second jabs yesterday.
Roll on the future.
