Original comic art up for auction! VIZ and Daleks!

It's been a while since I listed any art for sale but I've put two items up on eBay this week that I hope will attract interest. 

I freelanced for Viz for over 20 years and have sold most of my art now but I found this Suicidal Syd page that might be the last one I have left. I don't know which issue of Viz it appeared in but it would have been around the year 2008. Mature readers only!

 

As you may know, Suicidal Syd no longer appears in Viz. Changes in society and all that, so this is your chance to grab a rarity! The starting price is £90 but there's a Buy It Now option at £300. Some of my Viz pages have sold for that figure or higher.

Viz! Buster! Daleks! - All in this week's auction of ORIGINAL COMIC ART!

First up, a Suicidal Syd page from the Christmas issue of Viz comic No.191, published 20 years ago in 2004. Strictly adults only because of its theme and sweary bits. I have very, very few Viz pages left so grab yourself a festive treat!

VIZ, DALEKS, MACHO MAN and more in this week's art auction!

I haven't been well recently so I haven't been earning anything so... here we go with another art auction to pay the bills! I'd have sold these pages anyway eventually but circumstances have speeded things up. I hope some items will be of interest. A nice varied selection of characters here. VIZ, SONIC THE COMIC and more original art for sale

I've put some original artwork on eBay this week that some of you have been asking for. For several years in the 1990s I was a writer on Sonic the Comic and one of my creations was the evil Commander Brutus. His initial appearance was drawn by Richard Elson (Amazing Spider-Man, 2000AD) and I've put one of those pages we worked on from Sonic the Comic No.65 in 1995 up for sale.

Original artwork from VIZ, BUSTER, and DOCTOR WHO MAGAZINE up for auction now!

I've put a few pieces of my artwork on eBay for auction this week. This time there's a Tom Thug page from a January 1989 issue of Buster, a Daft Dimension featuring Daleks from Doctor Who Magazine (2019) and for adult readers a Suicidal Syd page from Viz from 2008.

Original comic pages for sale

Now that Christmas is well and truly over and you've hopefully had time to save a few pennies I'm starting up my art auctions on eBay again. There are two pages of my original art up there this week; a Tom Thug page from Buster (1993) and a Suicidal Syd page from Viz (2003).

Please note that these are the original, pen and ink pages that I drew, which were sent to the publishers (and have been returned to me after use). That may be obvious to most of you but the reason I specify that is because I know some sellers list prints, photocopies or even the printed comics under eBay's 'original art' listings and sadly the distinction is becoming blurred to some buyers. Original art should mean original, - the source material, - not a print.

Art and Action Man

The new Viz Annual

This year's Viz Annual has just arrived today. Continuing with it's traditional risqué titles, this one is The Camel's Toe, collecting selected material from Viz Nos.202 to 211. With 160 pages packed with strips and satirical features it's worth every penny of the £10.99 R.R.P. (although no doubt you'll find it cheaper if you shop around).

There's a Suicidal Syd page in there that I did, and like many Viz strips it features over 20 panels on a page. (So when some people say how comics today aren't value for money, point 'em towards Viz.)
