I've listed more of my original artwork for auction this week. Four pieces that are all hand drawn. Not prints, not facsimiles, and certainly not A.I.! This is my original art that was used in the production of the comics.
First up, (shown above), an Ally Sloper drawing I did last year. Britain's oldest comics character. I drew this for my own amusement as I've always liked the character so it hasn't been published but it can be yours if you win the auction!
Secondly, a strip featuring Rasher from the Beano. This was from the period when the strip was re-named Watch Hog back in 2013. No dialogue, as the balloons were added in the Beano office, but the story is self explanatory really.
Next, my cover artwork to the Derek the Troll special that I published in 2016. I'm also including the printed comic with this so you can see how it turned out.
Lastly, The Daft Dimension strip that I did for the Christmas Doctor Who Magazine in 2024, featuring a Dalek family visiting Santa Dalek! Told you it was daft!
You can see the listings with more detailed photos at the following link. Good luck with your bids!

I do like that Ally Sloper.
Can't believe it's 50 years since the short lived Denis Gifford (spelling?) revival, where young me first saw Hunt Emerson's work (although on the original Dog Man, not on Ally).
That was a great period - I was a bored teenager bemoaning the decline of Marvel Comics but at least we had Brainstorm, the start of 2000AD, and Ally Sloper. Also a Steve Dillon fanzine I forget the name of - Ultimate Sci-fi or something similar. I bought it from an ad in Speakeasy or Comic Media News (but it's long gone, alas)
Thanks for bidding on the Ally cartoon, Tony!
Yes, I still remember those days too, and buying Ally Sloper No.1. I think I bought it from a local newsagents, or maybe I got it from my first visit to Dark They Were And Golden Eyed on a trip to London. One of the two. I thought Denis' Ally Sloper comic was a good package, mixing vintage material with work by new creators.
The art arrived yesterday and looks brilliant. I'll get it framed and hang it with that Kev O'Neil cover and a Bryan Talbot sketch of Detective Ratzi from Grandville.
I'll have to dig out my old copies of Ally from the 1970's this weekend.
Thank you Tony. My art is amongst fine company there.
