See you at SFCC this Saturday!

A quick last reminder that I'm one of the many guests at the Sheffield Film and Comic Con tomorrow, Saturday 15th August, at the Motorpoint Arena. The event runs for two days but I'll only be there on Saturday.

If you're attending, look out for the Comics Zone, which may not be on the same level as the comic dealers, so ask one of the assistants in the blue or red shirts if you're not sure.

If you can, please drop by my table for a chat, or to commission me to draw a sketch for you, or buy a copy of Brickman Begins! I'll also be revealing the front cover to my new comic, Brickman Returns! which will be published in a few weeks.

Sheffield for August

Sheffield next Saturday!

Just a quick reminder that next Saturday (August 30th) I'll be a guest at the Sheffield Film and Comic Con at the Motorpoint Arena. The event runs for Saturday and Sunday but I'll be attending on Saturday only, and will be at my table doing sketches and signing comics (and selling copies of Brickman Begins!) so I hope to see a few of you there!

Sheffield sketching

Just a quick post to announce that I've been invited as a guest at the Sheffield Film and Comic Con this summer. It's a two day event at the Motorpoint Arena on the 30th and 31st August, but I'll be there for the Saturday only (Aug.30th).

I'll be selling sketches on request at my table, and I'll probably bring along some of my old original art pages too. I'll also be happy to sign a few of my comics if you bring them along. Drop by for a chat if you're attending. It'll be good to meet up with old friends and put faces to the names of people I haven't met before.

A brief history:

I've worked as a freelance professional humour comics artist and writer for over 40 years. I sold my first cartoon in 1983 and since then have created many characters such as TOM THUG, PETE AND HIS PIMPLE, COMBAT COLIN, BRICKMAN, ROBO-CAPERS, DEREK THE TROLL, TOUGH GUY AND SCRUFFY, SUBURBAN SATANISTS, SGT.SHOUTY and others.

My clients include IPC, Marvel Comics, Egmont, Panini, D.C. Thomson, Rebellion and many others, covering the comics field from originated characters to licensed properties, pre-school to adult on comics such as BUSTER, OINK!, BEANO, DANDY, TRANSFORMERS, SONIC THE COMIC, TOXIC, VIZ, CiTV TELLYTOTS, LEGO ADVENTURES, HERMAN HEDNING, SWEET FA, ACTION FORCE, SPECTACULAR SPIDER-MAN, RAMPAGE, LUCKY BAG COMIC, SWIFTSURE, WARLOCK, WHITE DWARF, ACES WEEKLY, THE DAREDEVILS, THE MIGHTY WORLD OF MARVEL, and many more.

My recent comics work includes:
