Pathetic Sharks VIZ art for sale!

I'm selling a piece of my original artwork on eBay this week. It's a large 460mm square illustration of The Pathetic Sharks that I did for the 1992 Viz Calendar. Drawn on Bristol board with black ink, water colours, and Carab D'Ache colour pencils.

The auction has just started and runs until Sunday 1st December. Good luck if you're bidding! More info and photos at this link:

Viz Annual 2015

Work has been very quiet on the Viz front for some reason this year but I've just noticed the new Viz Annual in the shops and there's an old Pathetic Sharks page in there that I did a few years ago. You'll find it on page 100.

There's a couple of other Sharks pages in there too, but they're not by me. Viz: The Dutch Oven 2015 is in hardback with 160 pages and contains the best of issues 212 to 221. The R.R.P. is £10.99 but as with all annuals you'll find it discounted in various places. I bought mine from The Works for £6.99. Grab it while you can. It really is as funny as it used to be.

Recent and current work

It's a busy time at present, I'm pleased to say. I drew a new Pathetic Sharks page for Viz last week, which will appear in their Christmas issue which goes on sale on the 21st November. I won't reveal the plot but here's the title box, snow on the logo and all.

All the Rubbish Robots mini-strips for The Beano have been completed and the strip should return to its pages soon. (There's been a few special theme issues recently which elbowed out some of the regular contents.)

I'm just drawing the final mini-strip of another series for The Beano and that should start soon too. As it has a winter theme I'm guessing December or January might see it appear in the comic. I'll reveal more when I know for sure.

I'm about to work on a third mini-strip series for the comic too. All the scripts have been accepted and I'll be ploughing ahead on the six strips from tomorrow. As it's a brand new series I can't reveal the title yet.

I'm also currently writing a script for another comic/mag and I'll reveal more about that next month. There's also a drawing project lined up for a one-off job outside of comics but, again, I can't say anything about it yet.

Sorry for the secrecy! Some days being a cartoonist is just like being James Bond! (But without the exotic locales, fast cars, faster women, and sharks. Ok, I have the sharks. Pathetic ones at least.)

Brats, Sharks, Thugs and more

I have a few more pages of my original artwork on eBay again this week. This time there's a Vampire Brats colour page from Buster, a Tom Thug page from Oink!, a fairground spread from Toxic, and a Pathetic Sharks page from Viz.

You'll find the listing here. Bidding ends on Sunday, and all bids are welcome. Good luck!

Original art for sale... plus more!

I'm selling off more of my original artwork on eBay this week including a page of Tom Thug from Oink! No.62 (see detail above) and a Pathetic Sharks page from Viz No.217 (last summer's jubilee issue).

I'm also selling a couple of comics I contributed to. One is the issue of Buster from 1996 that featured my final all-new Tom Thug strip before it went reprint. This comic is in superb condition, unread, complete with its free gift. Plus I've drawn a new Tom Thug sketch to accompany it.

There's also a copy of the Combat Colin Limited Edition Special from the year 2000. This 20 page comic only had a print run of 150 copies so it's very rare. Condition is excellent and I've drawn a new Combat Colin pencil sketch as part of the deal.

I'm also selling a few items that I had no involvement in, such as the very first issue of Cheeky Weekly (complete with unused free gift) and Classics from the Comics No.1. Both in excellent clean, flat condition.

Interested? Zoom over to my eBay page here for a better look. All bids welcome! Good luck!
