New! Combat Colin logo mug!

I've just added a new item to my Redbubble store. It's the Combat Colin logo - on a mug! Check it out, along with my other items of merchandise, at this website:
https://www.redbubble.com/people/LewStringer

Remember, I won't be bringing any merchandise to conventions. The stuff is only available from Redbubble. They manufacture and post the items and it takes about a week from order to delivery. Thanks to those of you who have ordered stuff so far!

However if it's comics you want, you can order those directly from me here:

COR!! BUSTER! Today's the day!

COPYRIGHT © REBELLION PUBLISHING IP LTD.
Today's the day... 17th April... when the Cor!! Buster Humour Special arrives in WH Smiths and hopefully newsagents and comic shops (if they've ordered it) across the UK.

Those of us who have worked on this one-off are really hoping it'll be a success and will lead to more. It's a revival of classic comic characters not seen since the end of the last century! As one of the contributors to the original Buster comic it was a pleasure to be invited back. Fingers crossed that it does well! Wish us luck, - and please pick up a copy for yourselves or your kids.

52 pages, full colour, £4.99. Also available with other specials directly from the publisher:

Cor!! and Buster Special: review and interview

With just a week to go before the Cor!! Buster Humour Special hits the stands on 17th April, Rachel Bellwoar gives it the thumbs up in her review at Comicon.com. I was very pleased with what she had to say about the pages that John Freeman and I contributed...

"It’s a great entry point for kids into comics, it doesn’t talk down to them, and the special pays tribute to its roots, with a special section by Lew Stringer on the history of these characters. Far from being stuck in the past, though, these characters ‘still got it,’ as gets proven when they appear together in a story written by John Freeman, with art by Stringer and letters by Leila O’Millar. With an amazing fourth wall break by the editor to set things off, “Who’s in Charge?” throws shade at how we’ve decided celebrities are the most fit to judge us in competitions."

...and there's an interview with John Freeman and myself about our work on the special at the 2000AD site here:

New! Brickman and Combat Colin mug

This is the last item of merchandise I'll add to my Redbubble shop for a while as I think there's enough up there for the time being. (More will be added in the future, and some items discontinued, but not yet.)
Three views of the same mug.

The latest thing is a Brickman and Combat Colin Mug, using an illustration I did in 1996 for the cover of issue 2 of my self-published Yampy Tales comic (long out of print). The art has been recoloured and improved. Hope you like it!

If you want to purchase a mug, please visit this website:
https://www.redbubble.com/people/LewStringer

Remember, Redbubble deal with the manufacturing and sales of the items and I won't be selling them at conventions, so if you're interested in anything, the Redbubble site is the only place to buy it from.

Pyramid Head!

Weird! Eerie! Authentic! Summer's coming and that means T-shirt weather. How's about adding a Pyramid Head T-shirt to your summer collection? Probably the most bizarre character I've created, Pyramid Head appeared in a Combat Colin story 30 years ago (recently reprinted in Combat Colin No.3) and now he's back as an item of clothing and other merchandise. That's the weirdest thing of all, right?

If you're interested in a Pyramid Head T-shirt and other items, visit my Redbubble store today!

Check out my new shop!

One last plug for my new venture before the weekend. There are now numerous items of merchandise on my Redbubble store, all from my artwork and designs. Remember, none of this will be available from me at conventions. I'll only be selling comics at cons. Redbubble will be handling the manufacture and sales of merchandise via mail order only.

What's on offer? T-shirts, laptop skins, mugs, cushions, even dresses and mini-skirts! Please have a browse and let me know what you think, and share this post if you wish. Thanks.

NEW! The Seven Ages of Fan as a ceramic mug

The latest item to be added to the Redbubble webshop is a ceramic mug featuring my 1998 cartoon, The Seven Ages of Fan! This was originally drawn for the UKCAC98 convention booklet 31 years ago and people have often told me they liked it, so I thought it'd make a good item for the shop.

Not that I'm making "mugs" out of fans. It's an affectionate nod to how our attitudes change over the years, and of course was inspired by the old 'Seven Ages of Man' illustration.

Ideal for your breakfast cuppa or coffee, The Seven Ages of Fan ceramic mug is exclusively available from Redbubble at this link:

More items added to Redbubble today

Who's for a Brickman mug, or Tote Bag, sticker, poster, T-shirt.... all added to my Redbubble shop today, as well as a non-comics design (Random Cosmic Spots) to appeal to the general public.

Check it out here...

Combat Colin merchandise!

It had to be done. After his debut in comics way back in 1987, and his current collections of classic adventures, it was time that Combat Colin had a few items of merchandise to his name.

I've decided to expand into various items of character-related merchandise by setting up an online store on Redbubble. It's a popular way to upload your designs for free, Redbubble sell and ship them for you, and you take a small percentage of the sale price. (And it is only a small percentage, but Redbubble are doing all the work so that's fair enough.)

I've also added another design, of two beatniks, that I hope will prove popular with the non-comics crowd. I'll be adding other designs over the upcoming weeks and months, all being well.

Bear in mind that I'm unlikely to bring any of these items to conventions as my luggage will be full enough with comics to sell, so if you want any of the merchandise, please order it directly from Redbubble at this site:
https://www.redbubble.com/people/lewstringer/shop

Please let me know what you think of this latest venture!

UPDATE: Just added Derek the Troll merchandise too!
