Never Be Without A Beano!

Just a quick reminder that the latest Beano is in the shops now. Here's a preview of my Rasher strip from the current issue. If you haven't bought The Beano for a while, it'd be worth your time to pick up a copy. It's had a gradual revamp over the past six months or so and it's in great shape these days. Just as it should be of course, with its upcoming 75th anniversary in July!

I probably should get a copy sometime to see what it's like these days.. But right now, I'm mostly happy with a copy of '70 years of the Beano and Dandy: Comics in Class' or something like that.. I like that a lot of the stuff is from original art, but I don't like how some of it is treated (ink effects stopping you reading some of the text, cutting off the odd panel etc) but it's good for what it is..

I'll be probably picking up the 75th anniversary issue, or whatever they are doing (I forgot what ^_^;)

I'm eagerly awaiting the inevitable "Worlds Finest" team up of Super Pig and the Dark Newt!

Gilbert Shelton's 60s superswine 'Wonder Wart-Hog'... Marvel's Deep-South 'Razorback' from the 70s... DC's 'Pig-Iron' in the 80s... always good to see another superpowered piggy!
