See you at OLDHAM COMIC CON this Saturday

We often hear people say that there aren't any "real" comic cons anymore... that they all feature actors now and only a few comic guests... but that's simply not true! There are lots of cons all over the UK totally dedicated to comics, and there's one in Oldham this Saturday!

Oldham Comic Con takes place on Saturday 11th May at the Queen Elizabeth Hall, Oldham and it's FREE ADMISSION! You can visit their new website for more info:

I'll be there, as will LOADS of other comics creators including Mike Collins, Laura Howell, Aneke, Ian Richardson, Kev Hopgood, David Leach and many, many more! Check out the website for details.

New convention announcement!

It's a pleasure to be able to announce that I'll be one of the guests at Oldham Comic Con on Saturday 11th May at the Queen Elizabeth Hall in Oldham. This is the third annual event for the con but the first one I'll be attending. I was invited last year but had to back out at the last minute 'cos of flu so I'm really looking forward to being there this time!

Other guests include Laura Howell, Aneke, Ian Richardson, Mike Collins, Al Ewing, Simon Myers, Amy Chu, Dylan Teague, Jon Davis-Hunt, and more! All good people and great comics creators, so come along and join us!

A brief history:

I've worked as a freelance professional humour comics artist and writer for over 40 years. I sold my first cartoon in 1983 and since then have created many characters such as TOM THUG, PETE AND HIS PIMPLE, COMBAT COLIN, BRICKMAN, ROBO-CAPERS, DEREK THE TROLL, TOUGH GUY AND SCRUFFY, SUBURBAN SATANISTS, SGT.SHOUTY and others.

My clients include IPC, Marvel Comics, Egmont, Panini, D.C. Thomson, Rebellion and many others, covering the comics field from originated characters to licensed properties, pre-school to adult on comics such as BUSTER, OINK!, BEANO, DANDY, TRANSFORMERS, SONIC THE COMIC, TOXIC, VIZ, CiTV TELLYTOTS, LEGO ADVENTURES, HERMAN HEDNING, SWEET FA, ACTION FORCE, SPECTACULAR SPIDER-MAN, RAMPAGE, LUCKY BAG COMIC, SWIFTSURE, WARLOCK, WHITE DWARF, ACES WEEKLY, THE DAREDEVILS, THE MIGHTY WORLD OF MARVEL, and many more.

My recent comics work includes:
