If you've bought the wonderful Black Beth special published this week by Rebellion turn to the back cover for the first glimpse at another special coming in September. Yes, Monster Fun is coming back with a snazzy new logo and new content! Proud to have contributed to this (reviving 1960s strip Wiz War from Pow! comic with writer Kek-W) and excited to see what else will be in it! More news on the Monster Fun Halloween Spooktacular later this year but you can pre-order it now from your local comics speciality shop (such as Close Encounters, Page 45, or Forbidden Planet) by using the Previews Catalogue that'll be out next week. Speak to your local comic shop for details.

I hope this finds its way to the U.S.
ReplyDeletelooks good, though i do wonder.... Leopard of Lime Street? for Monster Fun? doesn't seam to fit... but oh well
ReplyDeleteHi Tony, I think Rebellion's comics are usually avalable for U.S. comic stores. It's on the Previews website so your stores should be able to obtain one.
ReplyDeleteHi Ryan, Leopardboy is a popular character so with the absence of any other kids' specials this year I guess Monster Fun was the best place to put him in.
fair enough, he is a popular character, but it just seamed like a very weird mix to me. that said, X-ray Specs..
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to this one , it looks good.
ReplyDeleteLew,
ReplyDeleteFirst impressions: that logo is not so good; static, bland and boring; the two chosen typefaces do not mesh. But... the cover illustration is great!!! The lettering for the contents is pretty good too.
Concerned of Nuneaton
Not a fan of the new logo, can't understand why they didn't use Frankie Stein instead of that average creature but I'm glad Monster Fun's back and Paterson's artwork looks swell as always.
ReplyDeleteThe logo looks too serious for a funny comic. I hope they change it before its out.
ReplyDeleteLove to see a Shiver and Shake VS Monster Fun mash up
