First look! COR!! BUSTER BUMPER FUN BOOK

Rebellion have just revealed the front cover to a new collection. The Cor!! Buster Bumper Fun Book will collect the strips from the 2019 and 2020 Cor!! Buster specials into one 96 page package.

Above is a clip from one of my strips in the book and below is the cover drawn by Edward Whatley.

No doubt Rebellion will reveal more info closer to publication but at the moment the book is available to pre-order on Amazon at this link:

  1. Lew, it looks like Neil Googe, same as the two specials

  2. Could be. Different colourist perhaps, which may have confused me.

  3. The release date for that baffles me. That would have been a Christmas gift for the nipper. Now? A ‘maybe’ purchase later on. (Would have much preferred it be HC too, but there you go.)

  4. Agreed, I don't understand why it's coming out too late for Christmas.

  5. Agreed. Definitely would released it earlier so could be given as a Christmas present. Plus I would have made it hardcover and called it Cor!! Buster Annual 2021 to emulate the old Fleetway annuals. (I would even made a mock-up of the 'A Fleetway Annual' label - 'A Rebellion Annual'.

  6. To be fair there hasn't been a Buster annual this century so making it look like the old Fleetway annuals wouldn't mean anything to kids today. As for the Fleetway fireball icon... that was incorportated into the background design of the feature I wrote in last year's special if you spotted it? A little nod to the past.

  7. Perhaps that’s the cover date but it’ll come out a week earlier like normal. Or perhaps even earlier because all comics and magazines do at Christmas.

  8. It's a book, Phil, so it's not subject to the same rules as weekly comics. I suspect some bookshops won't even have it until after Christmas.

  9. UPDATE: Cover art is by Edward Whatley. Release date of 24th Dec may not be accurate.
